The camera panned around the historic arena and then scanned the ring and ringside area which was
filled with the superstars of the A.F.W. On the jumbo tron, they showed a staging area backstage in
which the remaining stars of the federation stood. The various factions backstage and in the ring
congregated together and warily eyed their rivals.
LISA: Hello fans, we are here in one of the historic Meccas of wrestling, the Cobo Arena.
JENNY: We’re in friggin’ Detroit, genius. Besides the only Mecca of wrestling is Madison Square
Garden.
LISA: Well, this has been the scene of some classic battles between greats like Bruno Sammartino, The
Sheik, Abdullah The Butcher, Bobo Brazil, Ernie ‘The Cat’ Ladd, The Fabulous Moolah, Penny Banner
and many, many others.
JENNY: The key words there are ‘has-been’…..much like yourself Lisa.
LISA: Listen you blonde bimbo, I still have enough left to spank your ass right here, right now.
JENNY: Calm down, will ‘ya? We’ve got a long night ahead of us and if you can’t take a little teasing,
take a pill and calm down, OK?
LISA: (taking a deep breath) Alright. Let’s start again. We’ve got all of the superstars of the AFW in the
ring and in the back waiting for some important announcement from our general manager, Debra Ann
Miceli.
JENNY: That’s Madusa for all you fans at home.

called champion but with the new talent coming in, the Board has decided that four of the AFW titles will
be stripped from their current owners and a tournament held to crown the new champions. As a result,
only four champions will remain until the tournaments conclude. Sadly, the casualties are……..
LISA: This is going to be good.
DEBRA: Moorea Wolf, you are being stripped of your title and a tournament will be held with a pair of
first round matches happening later tonight. Moorea, will you please come up here and leave your belt
with my security chief.
Seething, Moorea exited the ring and nearly sprinted up the ramp. Before the redhead could make a
beeline for Debra, Mimi, Michelle and Nadya blocked the way. Baring her teeth, Moorea shoved the title
into Mimi’s chest and mouthed “I’ll be back for that” before she headed backstage.
DEBRA: Our next former champion will be………Karina Nascimento. The tournament to crown a new
heavyweight champion will also begin later tonight and you will be in action later. Karina, please come
forward and leave your title with Mimi.
Karina removed the title belt around her waist and stared at it for nearly a half-minute before she kissed
the championship belt and held it high over her head while the crowd cheered her. The Brazilian
Bombshell then exited the ring and walked the long walk up the ramp. When Mimi extended her hand to
receive the title, Karina eyed the security chief before she gently ran her fingers over the surface of the
title belt. The Latina then handed over the title and disappeared backstage.
DEBRA: The next champion to lose their gold will be………..our tag-team champions, Andrulla
Blanchette and Valentina Chepiga. This is actually an easy decision since Andrulla suffered a neck
injury during our last show. Ladies, your titles please.
Dressed in street clothes, the Eliminators surprisingly seemed resigned to their fate and meekly exited
the ring. Gingerly, the pair headed up the ramp and silently handed their titles over to Mimi before
disappearing to the back.
LISA: I expected more of a fight from Andrulla and Valentina.
JENNY: Andrulla has a neck injury and may need surgery while Valentina has told me she just needs
some time off. I’m sure this is not the last we’ve seen of The Eliminators.
DEBRA: The title tournament for the tag-team championship will begin on our next show, The Danger
Zone. However, the brackets will be posted in a few minutes. That brings us to our final casualty. Sadly,
I must ask for your title………..Gail Kim.
A loud, chorus of boos erupted from the crowd as Gail stood in the ring, shock written across her face
and seemingly on the verge of tears. Wordless, Sasha Ogata comes over and embraces her good
friend. A second later, Christine Mendoza follows suit just before Dina Al-Sabah and Devon Michaels
came over and patted the Korean beauty on the shoulder and shook her hand, wishing her well.
While the crowd began to chant her name, Gail climbed the nearest corner and held the title over head
with one hand while tapping her chest with other and then pointed to the crowd and issued a ‘thumbs up’
signal. The Korean Assassin exited the ring and clutched her title tightly as she headed up the ramp.
Like Karina, Gail kissed her title before handing it over to the security chief and disappearing backstage.
DEBRA: Now, for the ladies in the ring. While you escaped the decision of the board, you haven’t
escaped me. All of you will be in action tonight and your titles will be defended. I expect to see all of you
in my office shortly and I will let you know who your opponents will be. That ends all of my
announcements. I hope you fans will love the show as much as I hope.

you’ll see a number of new faces. The AFW has recruited these new girls in an effort to give you, the
fans, a superior product than before. To the girls in the ring, as a result of this recruitment, some of you
will no longer be on the main roster of the AFW. However, that is not where the changes stop. Some of
you have titles right now, but by the time I leave this stage, you will no longer be champion. In other
words, the future starts now.
A buzz came over the crowd with a smattering of boos that quickly died down as the girls in and around
the ring eyed each other warily.
DEBRA: Here’s another news flash for our talent. Stables that have held sway for so long and ones that
are emerging can just put their goals in a scrapbook because as of now, all currently formed stables are
disbanded. Legion, LaBella Mafia, S&M, Pacific Pearls, Latina Heat and the House of Pain……..you are
now all history. New groups may be formed, but they WILL NOT be replicas of the old, tired ways. New
girls will get chances, new tag-teams will be formed and hopefully, new legends will emerge.
A rousing ovation rose from the crowd as a ‘Madusa’ chant broke out briefly. Inside the ring, the leaders
of the mentioned groups showed their frustration and anger in different ways; Ocean Bloom screamed
loudly before retreating into a corner, Deidre Pagnanelli whispered something into the ear of Isabelle
Turell, Malissa Robles seethed visibly while Grace Rivera and Gail Kim held back tears while they
hugged their now former stablemates.
LISA: This is the true end to some legendary groups. The war between Latina Heat and the House of
Pain ends not with a bang, but a whimper; with neither side able to claim true victory.
JENNY: Thank God. I was getting tired of seeing some of those has-beens.
DEBRA: Our Board of Directors agreed that with the influx of talent, a shakeup had to occur. As a
result, a number of the women assembled will be headed to one of our satellite federations. These
assignments need not be permanent, but they are irreversible. I now ask all the talent, save for current
champions, head to the back. You will see the postings of who is being reassigned in our staging area.
And be aware that our security force, unlike the one on Law and Order, is in full force. Disruptions will
not be tolerated and may result in the termination of your contract with the AFW.
Slowly but surely, the women began to head up the aisle alongside the ramp that led to the ring; filing
through a set of doors that led directly to the staging area as the crowd broke out in a “na na na na, na
